If the down payment is the only thing standing in the way of getting you into your new home, we can help. We offer a number of different programs, detailed below, to help you past the down payment hurdle.
1. Restrictions apply. 2. First-time borrowers must complete a city approved HUD-certified Homebuyer Education Course and receive a certificate of completion. Down payment assistance guidelines are subject to change at any time and without notice. 3. Geographic restrictions apply. Grant can be awarded in any amount from $3,000 to $6,000 based on three times the homebuyer’s contribution. Downpayment assistance loan limit is subject to change at any time and without notice. The downpayment may not be combined with any other FHLBC assistance for the same borrower in the same transaction. The grant is forgiven on a pro rata basis over a 60-month period and is based on the number of full moths the home is owned. 4. Downpayment assistance guidelines are subject to change at any time and without notice. 5. Eligible uses of grant: downpayment, closing cost assistance, escrow reserves deposited with the lender for property taxes, insurance, or monthly assessment and principal reduction on the loan. Must be 1-2 units and the borrowers primary residence. Home must be located within the six-county Metro Chicagoland Area (Cook, DuPage, McHenry, Will, Kane and Lake Counties), Lake County Indiana, and the Wisconsin counties of Kenosha, Racine, Milwaukee, Waukesha, Dane, Rock, Green, Gefferson, Layfayette and Wallworth.
