Alex Jacobs joined Wintrust Mortgage in September 2018 and currently as CEO is responsible for managing all aspects of the organization. Prior to joining Wintrust, he worked as an executive consultant for Newbold Advisors, including an acting CEO assignment for a regional bank’s mortgage division. Before that, Alex spent 24 years at SunTrust Mortgage in various leadership roles, from wholesale to retail, that culminated in the executive vice president, national production manager position. He has extensive experience in mortgage originations analysis, strategic planning and development tools, and models and systems to improve operational efficiency and responsiveness. Alex has a bachelor’s degree in retail management from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
